The Grand Place (Grote Markt in Flemish) is Brussels' impressive central
square. For centuries, a daily market was held in this picturesque city square.
A number of historical buildings are located on the square. They
include the Brussels Town Hall (Hotel de Ville),
House of the Dukes of Brabant,
House of the King (Maison du Roi),
and a number of Guild Houses.
